MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal

It is a solid pedal. To begin the casing is thick and the pedal is heavy in your hand, giving you the security that its not going to flop over if it gets tugged by your cable in a gig or on stage. It has a cool green sparkle finish. 3 uncomplicated knobs, Regen (or regeneration, the number of delays), Mix (how wet or dry your notes come by way of) and Delay (0-600ms of delay time). The Mod button on the top adds a tiny swelling which may be likened to a bit of a chorus effect. You will find internal switches for adjusting the Mod only. I have used this pedal for the last three months at bedroom levels and in live settings. The tone is good with this pedal. The amount that your guitars tone is limited through that is sooo minute that, unless you are incredibly picky you will not notice. There are two things that I think are an issue: 1. the light, when you switch the effect on and when the mod button is depressed the blue light is incredibly blinding. Ive had laser surgery on my eyes and this light gives me the biggest starbursts and if applied alot there are already a couple times I got a headache. A little piece of scotch tape or another dark tape cuts that down though. 2. There is no volume level knob. A lot of other MXR pedals have multiple knobs on them so there shouldnt happen to be an concern adding one to this. Ive found that, although the tone is fantastic, in live settings it’s quite quiet. You can pick it up with your other pedals though, so not much of an issue.
